Who We Are

The Indian Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic sets the goal of supporting the development activities of mutual Slovak-Indian relations and trade between the Republic of India and the Slovak Republic as well as technical and economic cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries and provide information and assistance to all who choose them and their shareholders. The Chamber establishes relations and mutual cooperation with the Indian Embassy in Slovakia, through joint projects and proposals, along with the Slovak Chamber of Commerce, the Union of Chambers, regional centers for the development of foreign trade, industry and art chambers and export consortia and other institutions and associations that will develop.

VISIT 2ND ANNUAL SLOVAKIA HUB SUMMIT IN CHENNAI, INDIA 22-23 NOVEMBER, 2018

The Chamber is dedicated to promotional activities, through which it serves useful economic information to assist the expansion of cooperation between the companies and contributed to the development of business opportunities. One of the key project of 2018 is to organize the 2nd annual Summit – Slovakia Hub Conference and first contact point. The Summit will take place in Chennai, November 22-23, 2018

What it is about

The Slovakia Hub in India is a platform developed by Indian Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic in collaboration with startup hubs in India, venture capitalists, investors and agnels to strengthen and foster the connection between the Indian and Slovak startup ecosystem.

Aim

The Hub aims to be a dynamic and interactive platform that will facilitate learning and development, networking, mentorship, and funding for startups. The idea behind the platform is to aggregate different offerings of the ecosystem and enable discovery by the right audience.

Invest India

The initiative is currently applying for official structure under Invest India, the official Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency of the Government of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched “Startup India” initiative on January 16, 2016, with an aim to nurture innovation and startups, which will drive economic growth and employment opportunities in the country.

India's Ecosystem

The Slovak startup ecosystem will have access to transparent and concise information that helps both founders and investors to understand the Indian startup ecosystem. Slovak innovation companies will have access to India’s network of investors and collaboration hubs.

European Expansion

Indian startups and investors pursuing an international strategy can benefit from the India Slovak Startup Hub through a successful soft landing into Slovakia as a starting point for Central European expansion.

Accessibility

Startup India Hub has partnered with various organizations to on board entrepreneurs and investors, as well as build knowledge modules. To ensure accessibility across various platforms, the Slovakia Hub will soon dedicate apps available on both Android and iOS.

One-stop-solution

“The Hub has also aggregated over 50 relevant government schemes or programs. In the next phase, the platform will also aggregate schemes available across various state governments. To provide a better user experience, the platform has been enabled to build smart intelligence along with official office opening in the city Mumbai

1. Reforms Matter.

In India, these include foreign direct investment, the Land Acquisition Bill, the coal and power sector, direct transfer subsidies, streamlined tax regimes. The Bombay Stock Exchange’s Sensex index is up 19.15% in rupees since Modi took over in May. It rose 8.9% in all of 2013.

2. China-style GDP Growth.

India is expected to have the fastest GDP growth rate in emerging markets and will beat China by 2016 if it grows over 7.5% next year. The government is counting on 8%.

3. Raghuram Rajan.

Investors like the monetary policy discipline of Rajan. India is focused on managing inflation, which helps the central bank to lower interest rates as it did recently. A stable and strengthening rupee also reduces forex risk for U.S. investors. The lower price of oil and better fiscal management, including cutting government subsidies, will help reduce twin fiscal deficits.

4. Corporate Earnings.

India Inc’s corporate earnings growth rate is expected to average 7% this year, which is better than the average earnings growth rate in the MSCI All Country World Index. Next year is even better once corporate taxes get cut, and the federal goods and services tax replaces state taxes for companies shipping goods across boundaries. Bloomberg data estimates average corporate earnings for the MSCI India Index to be over 16%.
